My Wedding was September 21st, 2024. I signed with this venue in 2023 so I was able to hold the food options/prices from that year. A couple months after I had signed, David Kurz the Director of Sales & Marketing had reached out saying someone new had taken the position of Event Manager at this location. Emma Carmichael was nothing but responsive, attentive, kind, and just overall amazing. I also appreciated full financial transparency whenever I needed because let's be real here, wedding expenses can add up. I was nervous that the food would not be all that great as I have been to other weddings at hotels that just do not hit the mark with the food. To my surprise, the food was absolutely delicious and flavorful, our guests were talking about it throughout the night! The waitstaff are quick and incredibly kind, asked if we needed anything at all and were quick to accommodate. Any questions I had, at any given time during our wedding planning process, Emma always responded promptly. On our wedding day, clouds came in and out and it began to rain during our ceremony start time. Emma and her team notified us immediately and came up with a solution. Well, the rain stopped and they were able to set everything back up outside for our beautiful ceremony in front of that ivy wall all while staying on our timeline! I will definitely suggest this venue for any friends getting married in the future! - Hailey

This was one of the best values for a reception venue I saw when researching for my wedding. One aspect I appreciated most was just how much was included in their packages. I didn't need to worry about additional costs of linens, cake cutting fees, or extra costs for the dance floor. The space looked beautiful, all of the wedding packages included the tulle draping, and their chairs looked nice and didn't need chair covers that I didn't need to set up or pay for. Having the luxury suite upstairs included for us so we didn't need to travel anywhere when the night was over was also ideal. There were some delays in hearing back from staff when we were trying to schedule things, but I think this was mostly due to them transitioning between event planners at the time. While from my perspective as the bride, everything went off without a hitch, I did hear back from guest that highchairs were placed at the wrong tables and the number of chairs at particular tables didn't always match up with what we had planned - this could have been caught when we were in there decorating morning of, so I guess just double check all of the details. - Vicki

All of our guests raved about the food, both the meal and the late night snacks were delicious. The space was beautiful and we liked that we could have the ceremony and reception in the same space. "We got married 8/31/24 and we had a fantastic time! The food was delicious and we were able to work with Emma to choose a menu that best suited us. The presentation on day of was perfect and nicely set! It made the buffet go very smoothly! Emma was a giant help the day of the wedding and even fluffed my veil before I walked down. She was very accommodating and explained every detail thoroughly. People loved the location as there was many bars nearby and we were able to host the rehearsal dinner next door. Guest highlights I have heard: delicious food, wonderful outdoor space to get away, bar in lobby, nice big rooms for those who booked. Newlywed highlights: included suite, reflection room, music was able to be done from a device no DJ required if that’s not your style, and sunset photos on top of the parking garage overlooking the city of Minneapolis (my favorite ones)." - Angela

"ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS VENUE!! my husband and I got married at East Town Ballroom back in May and were very pleased with our experience! when we first found this venue we had a meeting with the previous manager and shortly after deciding we wanted to go with this venue they switched managers and Emma was hired. she was an ABSOLUTE joy to work with and was so happy and ready to help with making our vision become a reality. From fleshing out wedding details to putting on the actual wedding, Emma was incredible! the staff is so friendly and kind and ready to help! While Emma was thrown into a position where she would quickly have to learn and figure out all the weddings already booked and weddings to come, she was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Not only were we happy with the service but the price. now-a-days weddings cost an arm and a leg but we were very happy with how they were ready to work with us on a plan and that we weren’t charged for all the underlying costs that other venues try to charge you with. "We had a great time hosting our wedding at the Courtyard Marriott - Downtown Minneapolis. Emma Carmichael, our event coordinator was extremely helpful in the days and weeks leading up to the wedding as well as the weekend of. She made sure to always be available to us to answer questions or deal with the inevitable "unexpecteds" when planning a wedding. Everyone else on the team was also extremely accommodating and helpful on the day of the wedding to make sure everything ran super smoothly. We had a ton of guests from out of state and really appreciated how helpful the hotel was with their reservations. We also loved the venue! The courtyard was perfect for our ceremony and the ballroom was great! The food was very popular amongst all of our guests and the wait service was excellent!
